In an effort to better serve and protect our residents, A Beyond Shelter's employment application includes a fingerprint based criminal history background check for ALL prospective employees. All HHSC state licensed agencies are also required to check the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and Nurse's Aid Registry (NAR) before hiring and annually thereafter if hired to determine if an applicant has ever committed an act of abuse, neglect, exploitation, misappropriation, or misconduct.
